Hikari Ono / Object for Painting No. 177-199 / 18.04 - 06.06 / 2026

The exhibition brings together a selection of recent works by Ono, showcasing a selection, of the latest pieces of the series Object for Painting, a series developed since 2016.

Object for Painting consists of three-dimensional works shaped through direct interaction with clay. Actions such as rolling, peeling, and pressing leave visible traces on the surface, registering gestures and forces. While earlier works in the series were primarily freestanding, the pieces presented here are conceived for the wall, extending the artist's approach towards a more relief-like dimension.

Ono explores the relationship between surface, gesture, and material, allowing forms to emerge through process rather than predetermined composition.
