On the Flight of Things

The hardest thing about Painting, is to not paint! I have the strong impression of being Painting myself. Everything I do, everything I say , everything l see, and everything I live, becomes Painting inexorably, as a stain in Time. I don't like to put sugar in my tea, cause I prefer the sweetness of my children shouting and jumping whilst I paint. I can paint in any place and any circumstances: under the rain, without seeing a thing; because I smell the odour of colours... What? Don't you know that blue doesn't smell like red at all? That yellow smells like a butterfly, or a melody of Galuppi?

Drinking Mate helps, by the way. The third is definitely the best, if I leave it to my wife... I am a gentleman! The noise of Mate when it's coming to an end, sounds a lot like the sound of my feel in the oil of the canvas I left on the floor.

Someone asked me when they saw the mark of my shoes on thecanvas whether I walked up walls like Spiderman. Of course, I tried it later, while listening to Mingus. What a marvellous thing it is to walk across the walls and paint with your feet!!! Nowadays I can stay up in the air for 7 minutes and 22 seconds. Enough time for pictorial splendour!
